GRANDPARENTS VISITATION RIGHTS Arizona, by statute, recognized the right of a grandparent to have visitation with their grandchildren. If a custodial parent refuses to allow grandparents to visit with their grandchildren, a grandparent can file a petition with the Court in order to have visitation rights with the grandchildren established. As with all visitation and custody matters, the Court's overriding concern is the best welfare of the child.
